New Delhi:
The National Green Tribunal imposed a total ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in Delhi and surrounding areas from November 9 to 30 at midnight.
The ban was imposed due to rising air pollution amid an outbreak of coronavirus cases in the nation’s capital, which has recorded 7,745 cases in the past 24 hours.
The ordinance will apply to more than 2 dozen districts in four states that are part of the National Capital Region (NCR).
