Many appreciated Tiffany Trump’s solidarity with protests over the murder of George Floyd

New Delhi:

President Donald Trump’s youngest daughter Tiffany has supported massive protests in the United States against the murder of an African American man in police custody.

The law graduate’s message came just hours after protesters in Washington DC were gassed by tears by police outside the White House so her father could pose for photos in a nearby damaged church during civil unrest. Mr. Trump was heavily criticized for this decision.

Many have urged Tiffany Trump to explain the protests to his father, who has promised to order an army crackdown on the civil unrest that is taking over the United States.

The current trend, popular on social networks, is that of #blackoutTuesday which is trying to highlight police violence and systemic racism in the United States. The black screen photo is shared on social media to support the trend, as is 26-year-old Ms. Trump on Instagram and Twitter. She captioned it “Alone we can accomplish so little; together we can accomplish so much.” – Helen Keller “with the hashtags #blackoutTuesday #justiceforgeorgefloyd.

Several people appreciated Ms. Trump’s solidarity, but reactions followed soon after.

Her mother, Marla Maples, and Donald Trump’s second wife also released the same black photo in solidarity with the protests.

Protests broke out in the United States after the death of George Floyd, a black man, when a white policeman knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes. “I can’t breathe,” said George Floyd as the police asked him to “get up” before he passed out and had to be taken to hospital. He died soon after.

Derek Chauvin, who was seen in the explosive video pressing his knee against the neck of a handcuffed George Floyd, was arrested and charged with third degree murder last Friday.

Hundreds of stores have been damaged and a police station has been burned to date during the protests.

Protesters challenged curfews across the United States as leaders rushed to stem anger at police racism while Donald Trump rejected criticism of his use of force to break a peaceful rally.
