Bihar Assembly opposition leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday demanded that the proposed film town of Rajgir in Nalanda district be named after the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Mr. Yadav, accompanied by the president of the RJD unit from Bihar, Jagdanand Singh, and his older brother Tej Pratap, met the members of the actor’s family at their Rajiv Nagar residence in Patna and returned him a floral tribute.

RJD’s youngest son, the party’s supremo, Lalu Prasad, said that Mr. Rajput had made the people of Bihar proud of their achievements during his short career.

Speaking to Twitter, he wrote: “The proposed film city in Bihar should be named after Sushant Singh Rajput.”

Mr. Rajput, 34, was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on June 14. His death sparked an intense debate about patronage in the film industry.

Several eminent personalities have visited the actor’s residence in Patna in the past few days and have offered their condolences.

Earlier, BJP MP and Bhojpur superstar Manoj Tiwari were in favor of an CBI investigation into the death of Mr. Rajput and noted that those who came from small towns have always faced discrimination in the town. garlands.
