Tejasvi Surya took office on Monday as the new chairman of the party’s youth wing.

New Delhi:

BJP MP Tejasvi Surya assumed his duties as the new chairman of the party’s youth wing in the nation’s capital on Monday and said “we will work to train political workers for 21st century India”.

Mr Surya succeeded MP Poonam Mahajan of Lok Sabha Mumbai after her term ended.

Today, I officially assumed the presidency of BJYM with the blessing of Poonam Mahajan Ji. BJYM will strive to conquer the undefeated; work to build political workers for 21st century India; work to strengthen of our civilizational state, ”Surya said in a tweet.

In another tweet, he called the BJP a party of “karyakartas” and thanked Mahajan for his effective leadership with the BJYM.

“The BJP is the party of the karyakartas – who serve the party despite serious personal difficulties. BJYM is committed to working hard so that the sacrifices of our karyakartas are not in vain. I thank Poonam Mahajan Ji for providing leadership effective at BJYM, we will continue the good work, ”he tweeted.

Mr Surya also organized a roadshow from the city’s Ambedkar International Center to the central office earlier today.
