The boy’s mother, a resident of North Dinajpur District, confirmed that the two were known to each other as they were both students in Class 10 who had just taken their exams.

She denied they were in a relationship but blamed the girl’s family for her son’s death. The young girl’s father, in his complaint to the police, had named the boy and accused him of having orchestrated his alleged gangrap and murder.

Police, who said on Sunday the girl’s postmorten report showed no assault and her death was due to poison, tweeted Monday evening to confirm the youth’s body was found in a pond near the location of the event. of the girl’s death.

Police are investigating both cases and looking into all possible aspects of the incident, including social ostracism, parental pressure and the role some people play in hiding, deceiving and distracting from the ‘real incident,’ West Bengal police tweeted.

Sensing that tensions could worsen, senior Trinamool leaders rushed to the village where the two deaths had taken place.

Ministers Gautam Deb, Gholam Rabbani and MP Rajya Sabha Mausam Noor were on hand.

They met families of girls and boys and brought them justice.

BJP leaders and party workers arrived at Islampur hospital on Monday morning where the autopsy was conducted. They said the girl’s uncle was a party member and wanted to escort the girl’s body home, but were deterred by police.

“The body of a young man was found there this morning. The tension is high. We urge you not to go,” said senior BJP official Raju Banerjee and party MP Nisith Pramanik. Police organized a hearse to send the girl’s body home.

“We do not know anything about the body of a youth found in the village,” said Raju Banerjee, general secretary of BJP Bengal. “All we wanted was justice for the girl and punishment for the culprits. Who knows what story Mamata Banerjee and her police are now going to tell,” he added.

Dozens of people had gathered where the boy’s body was found. The police had to disperse the crowd before they could recover the body. The young girl’s body was cremated elsewhere. Politicians from Trinamool arrived in the village after the cremation. Large numbers of people congregated in both boy’s and girl’s house when interacting with families.
