Tahira Kashyap has expressed interest in directing her husband Ayushmann Khurrana. Tahira, director of short films such as Toffee and Pinni, spoke to Time of india about his future director companies. Tahira said she was taking “small steps” to make a feature film but with the lock, everything was suspended. Talking about her plans to make Ayushmann in a feature film, she said that she “would like” to work with such a “wonderful artist”. However, Tahira called Ayushmann “senior” and said that she would like to make a few films before working with Ayushmann. Tahira said: “I would love to work with him to lead a wonderful artist. He has grown tremendously as an artist. But at the same time, he is older than me when it comes to work. J need to win some movies myself or a position where I deserve to make it. I also worry because I don’t know how it would be because we are husband and wife too. I don’t know how the situation is will there be fireworks on the set or we would be able to maintain the absolute decorum of the director-actor. Tahira also added that Ayushmann is the first to listen to his scripts and give his opinion. They are the ” bounce board “on the other.
Tahira and Ayushmann continue to set couple goals. Earlier, after Tahira was diagnosed with cancer, Ayushmann spoke of her struggle to cope with the news in an interview with Pinkvilla. He said he promoted his films in the morning and returned to the hospital at night to stay near Tahira. “In the morning, I promoted my films and I went back to the hospital at night. I was sleepless for seven nights and seven days. It was not easy but since she was positive, she told me a lot of inspiration, “said Ayushmann.
Ayushmann fasted last year Karwa Chauth for Tahira, because she was still recovering from her state of health. Tahira shared a video on Instagram and wrote, “Embarrass yourself more, Ayushmann. Our Karwa Chauth moment! While I am in Dubai for an event, my certainly better half keeps a fast for me on his tray! (PS – I always break pills so I couldn’t fast). But how adorable you are Mr A! I love you so much.”
Ayushmann and Tahira were married in November 2008. They welcomed their son Virajveer in 2012 and their daughter Varushka in 2014.
Ayushmann was last seen in dramatic comedy Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan where he shared the screen space with Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. Tahira, on the other hand, wears many hats – She is the director of short films Toffe and Pinni, teacher and director.
