Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actress Priya Ahuja has tested positive for COVID-19, she announced in an Instagram post on Tuesday. The actress, who plays journalist Rita Shrivastav on the SAB TV show, said in her post that she was not filming the show and was at home but still contracted the virus. She added that she was in quarantine at her home and was following instructions given by doctors and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). “It is my duty to inform you that I have tested positive for COVID. I am asymptotic, I am fine! I am following the instructions provided by the doctors and BMC. I am in home quarantine. Came in contact with me over the past 2-3 days, please get tested, ”Priya wrote.
She added: “I didn’t shoot and I was home the whole time, I still have this virus … protect yourself and remember to wear the mask. Don’t take it to the slight.” Priya also asked everyone to pray for her grandson, who was born in November of last year: “And please keep me and my little one in your prayers.”
