New Delhi:

The Supreme Court rejected on Monday as “frivolous” two PIL seeking to preserve the objects recovered from the site of Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

The superior court also imposed a cost of Rs 1 lakh each on the two applicants and asked them to pay it within one month.

A bench of judges Arun Mishra, BR Gavai and Krishan Murari said that a bench of five judges has already given its verdict and that it is an attempt through PIL to overturn the judgment.

The lawyer who appeared for the petitioners said that the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust also admitted that there were many objects in the area that needed protection.

The bench sought to find out why the petitioners appeared before the Supreme Court under section 32 of the Constitution.

“You should stop filing such a frivolous petition. What do you mean by this petition? Are you saying that there is no rule of law and that the judgment of five judges of this court does not will be followed by no one, “said the bench, adding that it intends to reject the petition.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who appeared for the Center, said that the court should also consider ordering costs.

The bank then indicated that a cost of Rs 1 lakh each was imposed on the two petitioners, which should be paid within one month from Monday.

The petitioners Satish Chindhuji Shambharkar and the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation have moved the Supreme Court to request the conservation of the artifacts recovered from the disputed site during the excavation supervised by the court during the hearing of the dispute at the High Court of Allahabad.

They also sought to preserve the artifacts that would be recovered after digging the foundations for the new Ram temple in Ayodhya and said that it should be done under the supervision of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

On November 9, ruling on a sensitive issue that dates back over a century, the Supreme Court, in a historic verdict, supported the construction of a Ram temple by a trust at the disputed site in Ayodhya, and decided that another five acre lot was to be found for a mosque in the holy Hindu city.

Making a unanimous judgment on a case that has long polarized the country and frayed the secular tapestry of Indian society, a bench of five judges of the superior court led by the Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, declared faith of the Hindus that Lord Ram was born on the site was undisputed, and he is symbolically the owner of the land.
