Supreme Court Ordered Law Enforcement Branch To Investigate (Representational) Issue

Lucknow:

A special law enforcement court (ED) sent an auditor with the Amrapali group of companies, Anil Mittal, to seven days’ detention for investigation on Tuesday.

Special judge AK Ojha issued the ED enforcement order and the detention period started from Tuesday evening.

The Directorate of Execution had called Anil Mittal on Monday for questioning. He was arrested and produced Tuesday in court.

According to DE’s special counsel, Kuldeep Srivastav, Anil Mittal had prepared the balance sheets of the Amrapali group from 2008 to 2015, allegedly in a fraudulent manner.
