Sonu Sood, who helped people during the coronavirus crisis, contacted actor Anupam Shyam, who is currently in the ICU (intensive care unit) of a Mumbai hospital for dialysis, with financial assistance. Anupam Shyam, who is best known for playing the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in the series Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, underwent dialysis at Lifeline Hospital in Mumbai. After the Association of Film and Television Artists (CINTAA) called on people to provide financial assistance for his treatment, Sonu Sood came forward and tweeted that he was in contact with Anupam’s family. “In contact with them”, the Dabangg the actor wrote on Wednesday, retweeting CINTAA’s post.

Anupam Shyam, who has worked in several TV shows and films, has already been admitted to Apex Kidney Care in Mumbai. However, after collapsing during dialysis, he was transferred to Lifeline Hospital, his brother Anurag told the PTI news agency on Tuesday. The actor’s family also asked friends in the entertainment industry to help them financially with the treatment, after which they got a call from Manoj Bajpayee, who worked with Anupam Shyam in the 1998 film. Satya, reported PTI.

“As we couldn’t admit there, we immediately took him to Lifeline Hospital. He is currently in intensive care. He has not been able to get good treatment due to the financial crisis. J informed his friends about his condition and I also contacted Being Human through their website. I even got a call from Manoj Bajpayee, who said he would look into the matter, ”Anurag said at PTI.

Anupam Shyam worked in television series like Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, Kyunki … Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai, Amaravathi Ki Kathaye, Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath and Doli Armaano Ki. He also starred in films such as Parzania, Bandit Queen, Lagaan, Dil Se, Nayak: the real hero and in the Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire.
