Post-production work on Sardar Udham Singh, with Vicky Kaushal, will debut on Monday, announced the director of the film Shoojit Sircar.
A week after the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Maharashtra, authorized the resumption of filming, TV series, commercials, OTT, etc., the filmmaker shared the biopic update on the Indian revolutionary on Twitter.
“When nature beckoned us, we listened … We changed gears, fast-forwarding in slow motion … Now there is a call again, an excitement, but a caution. And a hunger to restart, with this feeling that we are starting, again … Sardar Udham Singh post-production should start again tomorrow – June 8, “wrote Sircar Sunday alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of the film.
In releasing a government resolution last week, the ministry said producers will have to do pre-production and post-production work in accordance with guidelines established by the government.
The ordinance stated that standards of social distancing should be strictly followed with an emphasis on personal hygiene.
In a previous interview with PTI, Sircar said they had barely started post-production on Sardar Udham Singh when the national lockdown to contain the coronavirus pandemic was announced on March 24.
“It’s a tough film and it needs a long post-production time,” he said.
The filmmaker is currently looking forward to the worldwide release of his directorial adventure Gulabo Sitabo, with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, on Amazon Prime Video on June 12.
