New Delhi:
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s new film Serious men hit Netflix last week and the actor just discovered a funny fact about the movie. In a tweet on Friday, Nawazuddin worked out a few numbers and figured out that his one-hour, 54-minute film could be watched about 1,400 times a day, but it would take interplanetary travel for it. A day in Venus equals some 2,800 Earth hours – do the math. Now The Weather Channel had to be a joy to kill and add some more trivia to add to finding Nawazuddin to rain down on his parade. “But spending a day on the planet Venus is equivalent to spending half a year! Yes, a day on Venus is equivalent to 2,802 Earth hours, while a year on Venus is equivalent to 5,390 Earth hours. So if you look Serious men 2695 times on Venus, you will do a whole year! The Weather Channel’s ROFL tweet reads.
“That’s the problem with Serious Men,” Nawazuddin said in response, using dialogue from the film. Serious men is an adaptation of the book of the same name by Manu Joseph – Nawazuddin plays the role of a clever slum dweller named Ayyan Mani, which aims to rise in the ranks of the ‘Serious Men’, who sit in offices and command around him, and who despises them at the same time.
Here’s a good dose of laughter for you:

Directed by Sudhir Misra, Serious men traces the story of Ayyan Mani, who challenges the world by making her believe her 10-year-old son is a prodigy. Child actor Aakshath Das plays the role of his son. GalacticGaming review of Serious men describes the film in these terms: “Serious men is a portrait of a minefield of a society delivered with a lightness of the touch which enhances its sharpness. More than just watching, the film offers the public a lot of food for thought. “
