“It is appalling to see its painful disintegration,” Sanjay Jha wrote about the Congress.

New Delhi:

Sonia Gandhi withdrew Sanjay Jha as party spokesman on Wednesday, a few days after writing a newspaper article criticizing the party. It also approved the nomination of Abhishek Dutt and Sadhna Bharti as national media panelists for the Congress.

“The President of Congress also approved the removal of Sanjay Jha as a spokesperson for the AICC with immediate effect,” the party said in a statement.

In the article published a few days ago, Jha said: “Congress has shown extraordinary weariness, and its casual attitude towards its own political obsolescence is disconcerting …”

“I would like to call a spade a spade here and a shovel: there has been no serious effort to get the party up and running urgently,” he said in a national newspaper article.

“There are many party members who cannot understand this perceptible apathy. For someone like me, for example, permanently attached to the Gandhian philosophy and to the Nehuvian perspectives that define the Congress, it is appalling to see his painful disintegration, “he said.
