Rajnath Singh has agreed to send a contingent of 75 members to participate in the parade in Moscow

New Delhi:

India will send a contingent of 75 members of its three armed forces to Moscow to participate in the Russian parade of the 75th world war on June 24, the Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday.

“On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Second World War, there will be a military parade in Moscow to honor the heroism and the sacrifices made by Russia and other friendly people,” the ministry said in his press release.

He said the Russian Defense Minister had invited an Indian contingent to take part in the Victory Day parade to be held on June 24, 2020 in Moscow.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has agreed to send a three-member contingent of 75 to participate in the parade, which contingents from other countries are also expected to participate, the statement said.

“Participation in the parade will be a mark of tribute and solidarity with the Russian people at a time when they remember their heroes of the Great Patriotic War,” he added.
