On the occasion of the 75th birthday of his father, the former chief minister of Maharashtra Vilasrao Deshmukh, actor Riteish Deshmukh shared a heartbreaking post on social media. Remembering him, the actor posted an emotional video, in which he explained how he missed his father. In the clip, we can see Riteish running his hand through a sleeve of his father’s kurta and recalling his warmth and love. He can also be seen hugging his father’s clothes. Towards the end of the video, a photo of Riteish and Vilasrao Deshmukh also appears on the screen. In his article, Riteish wrote: “Happy birthday, Pappa ….. I miss you everyday!” Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was a senior congress official, died of cancer in 2012.
Riteish Deshmukh’s post was filled with moving comments from his industry friends. Abhishek Bachchan reacted with folded hands in prayer and cuddly emoticons while Amruta Khanvilkar dropped a few heart emoticons. Riteish’s brother Dhiraj also commented, “I miss you, Pappa.”

Riteish’s wife, actress Genelia D’Souza, also remembered her stepfather in a touching article on social media. She posted a photo of the Vilasrao Deshmukh statue and wrote: “Riaan’s teacher asked her, ‘What are you most proud of’ … Her response was, ‘My Ajoba’ … You are our pride, Pappa … We feel your presence every day and know that you take care of us wherever you are … You live in us and we celebrate you every day. Happy birthday, Pappa. “
On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh was last seen at Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 3 alongside Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor.
