Actress Rhea Chakraborty ended a month of reluctance with two explosive articles on social media. Ms. Chakraborty, one of the many people the Mumbai police spoke to about the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, addressed her second post to the Minister of the Interior, Amit Shah, requesting an investigation by the CBI on the death of Mr. Rajput. “I am Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend“she wrote in her article. Rhea Chakraborty, 27, has been the target of hateful comments in the month since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, allegedly by suicide; in his other article, she shared the screenshot of one of those messages she received – a vile threat of rape and murder.
“Enough is enough,” wrote Rhea Chakraborty in her article, revealing that she had been called a “gold digger” and ashamed of the trolls. “How does my silence give you the right to tell me that you are going to make me rape and murder if I don’t kill myself?” Ms. Chakraborty wrote: “Do you realize the seriousness of what you said? Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14; a police investigation is under way. The day after his death, Rhea Chakraborty was photographed in hospital Mr. Rajput was taken away. The couple must have played together in a rom-com, director Rumi Jaffery revealed later.
