Chandigarh:

The Haryana government has decided to regulate the movement of people coming to the state for a stay of more than three days, which requires them to register on its portal.

The decision will be implemented with immediate effect, as the number of coronaviruses in the state has exceeded 9,000, including 134 deaths.

According to an official spokesperson, in addition to registering on the government portal Saral Haryana, they will have to download the Aarogya Setu application.

The official said travelers will need to share their full contact information such as name, address and cell phone number.

Using the same mobile number for multiple registrations is not allowed, except in the case of a family, he said in a statement.

In addition, visitors to a business are required to provide details of the people they intended to meet in Haryana with their return date.

For the people who host them, it will be mandatory to register their details on the portal the day of their arrival, said the spokesperson.

He said government management of hotels, guesthouses, dharamshalas and rest homes will also need to register his details on the portal as soon as they are registered.

Travelers in transit must provide an address at which they intend to stay and indicate an entry checkpoint at Haryana. At the same time, they must share the details of their COVID history.

“After completing the registration formalities, he / she will be given an identification number to be used by him / her as proof of registration when necessary,” he said.

The spokesman further said that travelers will also need to share evidence regarding the installation of the Aarogya Setu app on a compatible mobile phone and regularly update their health on it.

If a traveler exhibits symptoms upon arrival, they will report to the nearest health facility and be assessed for their clinical severity. During the tests, if the coronavirus is found positive, the visitor will be transferred to a COVID care center or a dedicated hospital.

If a traveler is symptom free upon arrival, seven days of self-monitoring should be observed.

If symptoms appear, the person concerned must inform the district surveillance officer or call the 1075 helpline. For Gurgaon, the helpline is 1950.

The spokesperson said, however, that those who visit Haryana for three days on business, or who enter the state to go to their offices or business daily, do not need to follow the procedure unless that they do not develop symptoms of the virus.

It will be the responsibility of the district administration, mayors, municipal corporations, sarpanches and plumes to report violations of these guidelines to the police.

Anyone who contravenes these guidelines will be liable to prosecution in accordance with the provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005, in addition to legal action under section 188 of the IPC (disobedience of an order duly issued by an official ) and other applicable legal provisions, according to him. said.
