His Ranveer Singh ‘s birthday and we cannot keep calm. The actor turned 35 on Monday and it goes without saying that a lot of love flowed to him on the social networks of members of the film’s fraternity. Among them was also Ranveer’s Gully boy co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi, who catapulted to fame as the film’s MC Sher. Siddhant chose an adorable photo of Ranveer Singh playing with a small child wearing a t-shirt with “Jr MC Sher” printed on it and defined his relationship with the actor with these words: “This photo is the closest to understanding him and our relationship. “He also accompanied the birthday wish of Ranveer, who is one of Bollywood’s most beloved actors, with a short note written in the style of MC Sher:”Dil bohot bada hai simple bhai ka, shayad isliye aaj wo sab ke dillon mein hai aur macha raha hai! Gully boy, inspired by the lives of rappers Divine and Naezy, is the story of Murad (played by Ranveer Singh), who moves from the slums of Dharavi to the central scene of local rap with the help of his mentor MC Sher (Siddhant Chaturvedi) . Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar, was critically acclaimed when it was released in February of last year. It was even selected as India’s official entry for the 92nd Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category. Back at home, the film slipped the eleven first prizes at this year’s Filmfare, including the best actor, the best director, the best film, the best supporting actor, the best dialogue and the best screenplay, among others.
