Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP government in UP after journalist killed by criminals

New Delhi:

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today attacked the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh for the murder of a journalist and said people were promised “Ram raj“But I”Gundaraj” instead.

He also expressed his condolences for the death of Ghaziabad-based journalist Vikram Joshi, who was shot in the head by criminals on Monday evening and died of his injuries early this morning.

Vikram Joshi had filed a complaint with the police for harassing his niece on July 16.

Congress leader Ahmed Patel said the journalist’s murder was shocking and was another example of the collapse of public order in Uttar Pradesh.

“It’s also a grim reminder of how the media has been systematically intimidated over the past six years,” he said on Twitter.

“Our condolences to Mr. Joshi’s family. We support fearless journalism,” he said.
