Congresswoman Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday criticized Yogi Adityanath’s government over the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, alleging fear prevails among the state’s population.
Priyanka Gandhi tweeted a media report claiming that an iron trader was kidnapped this morning in Baghpat and 1 crore rupee was demanded as a ransom.
“An iron merchant was kidnapped in Baghpat this morning. Women are not safe in the UP. The traders are not safe. Children are not safe,” Priyanka Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.
“The members of the government make empty speeches during the electoral meetings. Fear prevails in public,” declared the secretary general of the Congress in charge of the UP.
Congress attacked the UP government over the state of law and order, alleging criminal activity is rampant, a claim rejected by the state waiver.
