Government anniversary: Amit Shah led the BJP for almost five years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has corrected “many historic wrongs” in the past six years, Interior Minister Amit Shah said this morning while veiling a jibe in Congress. In a tweet – published to mark the first anniversary of the second term of the National Democratic Alliance government led by Prime Minister Modi – Amit Shah also thanked “dozens of BJP workers” who were the “door messengers” at the party’s doorstep for the past six years.

Taking a veiled search in congressional-led governments in the past, he tweeted: “In the past six years, Modi ji not only has it corrected many historic wrongs … but it has also filled the void created over the past six decades to lay the foundation for an autonomous India. The past six years of governance have set a phenomenal example for the well-being of the poor. “
“I bow to the people of the country who elected them and contributed to the progress of the country,” he said.
BJP messengers broadcast door-to-door talks on government achievements and social protection programs, he wrote in another tweet.

Amit Shah led the party for five years before JP Nadda, considered the number three in the ruling party, was elected party chairman in January.
