Prime Minister Modi called President Kovind and briefed him on matters of national and international importance.

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday and the two leaders discussed issues of national and international importance, said Rashtrapati Bhavan officials.

The meeting comes after the Prime Minister visited Leh earlier this week and addressed the soldiers following the June 15 clashes in the upper parts of this region with Chinese troops, in which 20 soldiers have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

After the meeting, the Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted: “Prime Minister @narendramodi called President Kovind and informed him of matters of national and international importance …”.
