Akhilesh Kumar lost his life in Friday’s crash.

Co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar’s father, who lost his life in the Air India Express forced landing in Kozhikode on Friday evening, said his stepdaughter should have a job so that she can take care of her child. .

Akhilesh Kumar’s body reached his birthplace in Mathura on Sunday morning.

“I want his wife to get a job so that she can take care of her child,” Akhilesh Kumar’s father said, addressing the media.

His body was transported from Kochi to Delhi airport at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday and then taken to Mathura.

About 200 Air India members paid their respects to Kumar, observed two minutes of silence and prayed for the peace of the deceased officer.

The Air India Express flight carrying 190 passengers including 10 babies skidded as it landed at Karipur Airport in Kozhikode on Friday evening.

At least 18 people, including two pilots, lost their lives in the incident.
