New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch “Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Abhiyan” at 11:00 am Friday by videoconference in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The initiative is intensely focused on creating jobs, promoting local entrepreneurship and creating partnerships with industry associations and other organizations to provide employment opportunities.
The Center announced the Atma Nirbhar Bharat package to stimulate various sectors. In order to create jobs with a push towards creating infrastructure in the backward regions of the country, Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan was launched on June 20.
In Uttar Pradesh, nearly 30 Lakh migrant workers returned. Thirty-one districts of Uttar Pradesh have more than 25,000 return migrant workers.
These are five ambitious districts. The Uttar Pradesh government has envisioned a unique “Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Abhiyan” initiative that aligns with Center and state government programs while building partnerships with industry and other organizations.
The COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the workforce in general and migrant workers in particular. Large numbers of migrant workers have returned to more than one state.
The challenge of containing COVID-19 has been compounded by the need to provide basic equipment and livelihoods for migrants and rural workers.
Villages in all districts of Uttar Pradesh will join this program through joint service centers and Krishi Vigyan Kendras, maintaining standards of social distancing following the COVID-19 pandemic.
