Pakistani troops opened fire and launched mortar shells in the forward zones along the Line of Control (LoC) in the districts of Jammu and Kashmir at Rajouri and Poonch on Monday in violation of a ceasefire agreement fire, officials said.

“At around 3.30 am today, the Pak army started an unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms and heavily firing mortars along the LoC in the Krishnagati area of Poonch district, “said a defense spokesperson.

“Again around 5:30 am, Pak’s army began an unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Nowshera area of ​​Rajouri district,” he said.

Pakistan has violated the ceasefire agreement three to four times a day in the past two weeks, officials said.
