Jammu:
Pakistani troops bombed mortars along the control line in the Jammu and Kashmir Rajouri district on Saturday, causing heavy retaliation by the Indian army, a defense spokesman said.
There are no immediate victim reports, he said.
“Around 6:45 p.m., Pakistan started an unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms and mortar shells along the LoC in the Nowshera area. The army responds appropriately” said the spokesperson.
The cross-border bombing was underway when the last reports were received, he added.
