Coronavirus: COVID-19 cases have increased in India, although recovery has improved

New Delhi:
India has reported 9,851 cases of coronavirus and 273 deaths in the past 24 hours, the most in a day, according to government data. The total number of cases in the country has increased to 2,266,770. To date, 1,094,462 people have recovered and 6,348 have died, while the recovery rate or chance of recovery is 48.27 %. India is now the seventh most affected country after the United States, Brazil, Russia, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. In terms of death, India is currently ranked 12th, while it is ranked eighth in terms of recoveries. However, India is among the top five countries in terms of active cases.
