All educational establishments, cinemas, auditoriums, swimming pools, bars and meeting rooms will remain closed until August 31. Yoga institutes and gymnasiums will remain closed until August 4, depending on the order.

He advised people over 65 or with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children under 10 to avoid leaving their homes.

“Strict measures will be taken against anyone who violates restraining orders under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (disobeying an order duly enforced by an official),” Dwivedi said in the order.

Delhi’s neighbor Gautam Buddh Nagar has so far recorded 5,203 cases of COVID-19, of which 796 are active. There have been 42 COVID-19-related deaths in the district, while more than 4,365 patients have been released after treatment, according to official data.
