The campaign for the first phase of the high-decibel Bihar Assembly elections will end today evening.

The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising, among others, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United), is against the opposition “ Mahagathbandhan ”, comprising the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Left Parties.

The main leaders of the two alliances are making a final push to seek voters, as there is only one day left to campaign for the first phase of the elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also spoke at the rallies on Friday.

Chief Minister and JD (U) Chairman Nitish Kumar is the main ministerial face of the NDA and is engaged in holding rallies one after another.

Several top leaders, including BJP National President JP Nadda, RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav, Party Leader Lok Janshakti (LJP) Chirag Paswan, will hold election rallies today in support of their party candidates and allies. .

A total of 71 constituencies, spread over 16 districts, will go to the polls in the first phase of elections on October 28, and 31,000 polling stations have been established. According to the Electoral Commission, during the first phase of the elections, the fate of 1,066 candidates will be decided by 2,146,960 voters. Security has been stepped up in areas affected by Naxal.

Bihar will vote on October 28, November 3 and 7 for a new government and the results will be announced on November 10.
