Patna:
Lok Janshakti party chairman Chirag Paswan said on Thursday that Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar could realign himself with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD which he abandoned a few years ago.
Mr. Paswan also alleged that Mr. Kumar, who heads the JD (U), “conspired” to defeat the BJP in fewer than 157 seats, the number he contested in 2015, and pointed out that the Minister chief had agreed to run his party candidates in just 101 constituencies while running in the RJD alliance
“In the latest assembly polls, the respected @ NitishKumar became Chief Minister with the blessing of the respected @laluprasadrjd that he gave up and took over the presidency again with the blessing of the Prime Minister,” M Paswan.
“May he no longer rush to @laluprasadrjd, seek refuge, after receiving @narendramodi’s blessings,” he added.
Chirag Paswan, who succeeded his father as party leader less than a year ago, announced his decision to participate in Bihar assembly polls on his own last month.
The president of the LJP pledged to ensure the defeat of JD (U), whose leader he accused of behaving badly with his late father and refused to give the small partners of the alliance their due.
The 37-year-old LJP MP, however, has sworn by his loyalty to Modi and the BJP and repeatedly saying he will work to form a new government led by the Saffron Party.
