Jaipur:

Prime Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, ordered the continuation and strict enforcement of the night curfew in the state, even after May 31, to minimize the risk of an outbreak of coronavirus infection.

Gehlot asked his officials to ensure that there is no laxity in the state night curfew.

The chief minister ordered the authorities to reprogram the prohibited area based on the number of active infected cases, so that the curfew would only continue in the affected area.

Gehlot gave the instructions at a high-level review meeting at his home on Friday on the state of the spread coronavirus in the state.

He said that the health protocol should be strictly followed, even if it concerns VIPs.

He said there should be no laxity in the sanctions provisions of the Rajasthan Pandemic Ordinance. It is very important to protect people’s lives and public health, he said.

Gehlot also called on private hospitals to fulfill their moral responsibility by taking a humanitarian approach to providing free treatment to patients infected with corona.

He requested that good availability of maternal and child health services be ensured in public hospitals. Due to isolation or the corona epidemic, the common man should not experience any medical treatment problems.

Rohit Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Medicine and Health), said that the state of Rajasthan was better than that of other states due to a corona infection. The number of active infected patients is stable and the recovery rate has increased in the last 6 days in the state, he said.
