The FIR was registered against 21 appointees and 30 others over a complaint filed by Asha Pratap, sister-in-law of the main defendant Dhirendra Pratap Singh, they said.

BJP leader Dhirendra Pratap Singh was arrested for killing Jai Prakash Pal Gama (46) following a dispute over the allocation of ration shops to the village of Durjanpur in the Ballia region of Reoti on October 15. the incident took place.

“By court order, an FIR was registered against the other party involved in the incident. The name of the late Jai Prakash Pal is also in the FIR,” said a police official.

Pravin Singh, SHO, said Reoti after hearing the plea of ​​Asha Pratap Singh, additional civil judge Avinash Kumar Singh had ordered the filing of the FIR on Friday.

Asha Pratap Singh alleged that after “the meeting was canceled” on October 15, a group of people attacked villagers, in which Dhirendra Pratap Singh and seven others were injured.

She had accused 21 people (identified), including Jai Prakash Pal who died in the shooting, and 25 to 30 unidentified people for their involvement in the clash.

Police recovered the weapon used in the crime on Friday and said the accused BJP chief revealed during the investigation that he hid it under a tree near his house after the incident.
