BJP main leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Saturday that NDA voters would jointly challenge the Bihar assembly election, saying the issues within the coalition would be resolved. Union law minister Mr Prasad expressed confidence that the alliance led by Nitish Kumar in Bihar will win the elections with a decisive mandate due to the development work done by the center and the state government .
“NDA is one … We will challenge the election together. If there is a problem, it will be resolved,” he said, responding to a question about the differences between the LJP and the JD (U ).
Nitish Kumar’s JD (U) and Chirag Paswan’s LJP have been at odds for some time. The LJP has indicated that it will present candidates against the JD (U), leading to a difficult situation within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar.
Although Mr. Paswan is loyal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in whose cabinet his father and LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan is a minister, he has often criticized the Nitish Kumar government.
The election will be held in the state in three phases from October 28 to November 7. Votes will be counted on November 10.
Speaking to reporters at the party’s office here, Prasad said discussions are underway about sharing seats “at levels where it should be”. “It is the domain of the parliamentary council and the central electoral commission. It is for them to decide. I cannot enter in their domain”, he said, answering a question on the formula of sharing. seats.
Mr Prasad, who represents Patna Sahib’s headquarters in Lok Sabha, said the government led by Nitish Kumar had done a lot of work for the development of the state.
“I have no doubts that the people of Bihar will bless the NDA and help it return to power with a decisive tenure due to its development work. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s love for Bihar is evident in the fact that the announcements he made have been translated into reality, ”the minister said.
