A new image of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif having tea in a London cafe with his family has gone viral on social media, triggering a health debate with demanding Pakistani Tehreek-i-Insaf members his return to deal with corruption cases.

In the photo, the 70-year-old triple minister is sitting in a roadside cafe with his granddaughters. He was wearing a blue shalwar kameez and a cap and looked healthier.

Some ministers have become skeptical of the seriousness of his health, saying that Nawaz Sharif is walking the streets of London and that he did not even bother to wear a mask during this COVID-19 test period.

“This photo of Sharif having tea in a cafe reveals our law, our justice and our justice system. This photo also shows how much people can trust the accountability system in the country,” said Minister of Science Fawad. Chaudhry.

Prime Minister’s adviser Shahbaz Gill said Sharif went abroad after lying to the court.

“The Sharifs think people are fools,” said Shahbaz Gill and asked Nawz Sharif to send Pakistan back to face corruption cases against him.

As the photo went viral on social media on Saturday, it has become the main trend, sparking a debate on Nawaz Sharif’s health with his critics asking why he can’t return to Pakistan if he is fine while his supporters expressed their joy at seeing their leader in good health and spirits.

Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz said that the photo of the supreme leader of PML-N was published by “certain elements” with the intention of humiliating him.

“As in the past, they (an apparent reference to the establishment) wanted to humiliate him by disclosing his image. But the response was different. His supporters were delighted to see him. His detractors must learn from them” , she said.

She said that when her mother was in intensive care in a London hospital, such elements even attempted to take her photo “by force”.

“For them, it is not difficult to take Nawaz Sharif and the photos of the women in his family,” she said in a tweet.

Shahbaz Gill, however, claimed that the PML-N itself released this photo of Nawz Sharif to tell his workers that he was fine and “very in charge of the party”.

He said that PML-N workers had started to admire Nawaz Sharif’s younger brother, Shahbaz Sharif, and that is why the party had to disclose this image.

Earlier in January, a photo of Sharif having tea in a London restaurant went viral, prompting widespread criticism and raising suspicion that he could have left Pakistan “as part of an agreement”.

Defending this photo and the previous “leaks” of images, spokesman for the PML-N Marriyum Auranzeb said: “Mr. Sharif had gone out for a walk according to the doctors’ advice.”

Sharif, who was diagnosed with an immune system disorder, was advised by a panel of PTI government doctors to travel abroad for treatment.

He had been diagnosed with complicated coronary artery disease.

In London, he underwent a comprehensive cardiovascular assessment and investigation at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital.

According to his daughter, Mr. Sharif’s heart surgery had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
