The official Instagram handle of the Mumbai police, who regularly share memes based on Bollywood movies in order to spread social messages, has done it again. This time with a Gulabo Sitabo reference. The aforementioned meme had a picture of the main actor in the film Ayushmann Khurrana from the movie trailer. The idea behind the meme was to encourage citizens of Mumbai to use strong passwords to ensure cybersecurity. The text on the same said: “Strong password for Mumbaikars with a weak password:”Humein godh lelo (adopt me). “The publication was accompanied by the hashtags # $ tr0ngP @ $$ w0 ₹ d, #BlockbusterPassword, #cybersafety and #onlinesafety. Gulabo Sitabo presents the twisted equation of an owner named Mirza (Big B) and his tenant Baankey (Ayushmann).
It is the first time in 51 years of Amitabh Bachchan’s career that his film will be released on an OTT platform. In his article, Big B described the digital release of the film as “another challenge”. Big B wrote: “Joined the film industry in 1969. Now in 2020. It’s been … 51 years! Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Gulabo Sitabo due out on Amazon Prime on June 12. The film marks Big B’s second collaboration with the director. Other Big B projects with Shoojit Sircar include Shoe and Pink. The duo also worked together in the 2015 film Piku, with Deepika Padukone in the lead role and the late actor Irrfan Khan. Big B received a national award for best actor for his performance in the film.
Ayushmann worked with Shoojit Sircar in the romantic comedy 2012 Vicky donor, with Annu Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The film marked its debut in Bollywood. Gulabo Sitabo is the first project of Amitabh Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal.
