Bhopal:
While initial trends in Madhya Pradesh’s partial polls gave BJP an advantage, Minister of State Narottam Mishra said on Tuesday that when Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh questions EVD, it means the BJP is in the process of to win.
Reacting to emerging trends, he said: “The BJP has nothing to lose. You should ask the people who lose. We will only win from now on. I heard Digvijaya Singh’s statement. questions EVM, it means BJP is winning. “
“We are on the way to securing a clear majority. The two Congress seniors (Digvijaya Singh, Kamal Nath) will soon be moving to Delhi,” Mishra told ANI.
According to recent trends, BJP leads with 17 seats, Congress 9 and BSP 1 in Madhya Pradesh.
By-elections were held for 28 seats in Madhya Pradesh on November 3.
The outcome of 28 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh will decide the fate of the BJP government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, which needs at least eight more MPs for a clear majority in the state assembly.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, a prominent figure in Congress, had resigned from the party on March 11 of this year. Scindia’s decision to leave Congress was followed by the resignation of 22 party MPs loyal to her. He then joined the BJP.
These resignations paved the way for Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the BJP to take the post of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the fourth time.
