Patna (Bihar):
Calling it a “ matter of state, ” Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party leader Manoj Tiwari on Monday criticized Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who slammed the BJP for including the vaccine promise Free COVID-19 for Bihar residents in manifesto ahead of state polls.
“Instead of slamming BJP, why Uddhav ji guarantees a free vaccine against COVID-19 in Maharashtra. It is purely a matter of state, elections are underway in Bihar and the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) will provide a free vaccine if it is voted in power. In fact, we believe that Uddhav ji should bear the overall cost of the vaccine if he wishes, ”said Manoj Tiwari, the Bhojpuri actor and singer turned politician.
His reaction came a day after Uddhav Thackeray attacked the BJP on several issues as he spoke at the annual Shiv Sena rally at Dussehra in Mumbai.
“You talk about giving Bihar free vaccines. Is the rest of the country Pakistan or Bangladesh? Shame on those who talk like that. You are at the center,” Uddhav Thackeray said.
The Bihar Assembly elections will take place in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November 7. The result will be announced on November 10.
