A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Jaipur for stealing his girlfriend’s ornaments worth more than Rs 60 lakh, Oshiwara police in Mumbai said on Monday.
An official said the defendant Salman Zuber Parvez was involved in betting and the victim was a stage dancer the former was staying with in Mumbai.
“He stole the adornments after changing the locks on their house’s cabinet. The woman filed a theft complaint on October 10 and also accused him of raping her after promising to marry her. Further investigation into the case is underway, ”he added. .
