Teenage girl raped and stabbed in her private parts, allegedly by 22-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh
Rewa, Madhya Pradesh:
A 16-year-old girl was raped and stabbed in her genitals by a 22-year-old man in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh and her condition is critical, police said on Monday.
The main defendant – Ankit Rawat – was arrested while his accomplice Vanshpati Rawat, 27, was on the run, police commissioner Rakesh Singh said.
“The two men kidnapped the girl on Thursday as she came home from a party. Ankit raped her and stabbed her in her private area. She was admitted to hospital and her condition is critical,” said the police commissioner.
The two defendants were charged with rape and other offenses under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO), he added.
