Betul District and Extra Sessions Judge Mahendra Kumar Tripathi and his son have died due to suspected food poisoning, police said.

“MK Tripathi, District Judge and Betul Extra Sessions, died during treatment in a hospital after suffering a paralytic attack. His son died on his way to the hospital. The judge had previously complained of a problem with the flour they eat, “Betul Subdivision Police Officer (SDoP) Vijay Punj said.

He said the health of the judge and his son began to deteriorate after eating dinner prepared by his wife on July 21.

Mr. Punj said, “After the judge arrived home, he and his two sons ate food prepared by his wife on July 21. First, the younger son said he vomited. they all started to feel uncomfortable. “

“Subsequently, they went to a doctor, who prescribed medicine for them. However, their health started to deteriorate again. On July 24, he was transferred to a hospital in Nagpur. The judge then died on July 26. at 5 am and her son also died. he said.

Mr Punj said an investigation is underway and more details are awaited.
