Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Wednesday criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his remark on the “Gupkar gang” and asked him whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -People’s Democratic Alliance (BJP) alliance ( PDP) was to “bring terror back” to Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to Twitter, Mr Shah had asked Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi if they supported the People’s Alliance for Gupkar statement which he said insulted the flag tricolor from India.
The Home Secretary said “Congress and the Gupkar gang want to bring Jammu and Kashmir back to an era of terror and unrest.”
Jammu and Kashmir has been, is and always will be an integral part of India. The Indians will no longer tolerate an ungodly “world gathbandhan” against our national interest. Either the Gupkar gang is swimming with the national vibe or people are going to sink it.

However, Congress Secretary General Randeep Singh Surjewala Surjewala clarified that “the Congress party is not part of the Gupkar Alliance or the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration”.

Parties including the National Conference, the PDP, the Peoples’ Conference and the CPI (M) have formed the Popular Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration and are jointly fighting the first elections of the District Development Council (DDC).
