Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden criticized Donald Trump on Monday for “using the US military against the American people” after the president promised to order an army crackdown on civil unrest in the US United.
“He gassed peaceful protesters and fired rubber bullets. For a photo,” Biden tweeted, referring to Trump’s decision to use law enforcement – including military police – to evacuate protesters outside the White House so he can pose for photographs in a nearby riot damaged church.
“For our children, for the very soul of our country, we must defeat it,” said Biden.
