Our Thursday couldn’t get better as we stumbled across a comeback video of late actor Irrfan Khan singing a melodious track with his wife Sutapa Sikdar on the sets of his last movie Angrezi medium. The director of the film Homi Adajania shared the heartwarming video on social media on Thursday. In the clip, Irrfan Khan, sporting a traditional outfit, can be seen singing the song Mera Saaya Saath Hoga from the 1966 movie Mera Saaya during the filming of the film in London. Irrfan then asks his wife for the correct words: “Mera Saaya ki Tera Saaya? “Towards the end of the clip, when Homi Adajania asks the actor and his wife, ‘What’s going on? “Irrfan Khan replies,” We are shooting a yaar music video … slow motion video. “Sutapa can be heard adding,“ We are waiting for Gopi (the character of Deepak Dobriyal in the movie).
Sharing the video, the director wrote: “Mera saya / tera saya … time well spent until Deepak Dobriyal, who thought we had packed our bags, came back … ‘shooting a yaar music video’. Babil, the son of Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar also shared the same video on his social media profile.

Angrezi medium, a sequel to Irrfan Khan’s 2017 film Middle hindi, also featured Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Ranvir Shorey and Pankaj Tripathi. The film was released in March of this year.
Irrfan Khan died in a Mumbai hospital on April 29 at the age of 53 after a long battle with a cancerous tumor. He has appeared in several acclaimed films at home and abroad over a 30-year career. These included The namesake, the lunchbox, Maqbool, Haider, the life of Pi, Talvar, Piku and others.
