Coronavirus cases in India: India recorded an average of 48,000 cases last week.

New Delhi:

India recorded 50,356 new coronavirus infections and 577 COVID-19-related deaths on Saturday, government data showed Delhi has the highest number of one-day Covid cases. Friday’s case tally was the second time that more than 50,000 cases have been recorded in the past three days, the data showed. India recorded an average of 48,000 cases last week. Some 53,920 people have also battled this highly contagious disease in the past 24 hours. There are now 5,16,632 active coronavirus cases, according to the data. The total number of recoveries has passed the 78 lakh mark, pushing the recovery rate to 92.4%. The country now has a total of 84,62,080 coronavirus cases with 1,25562 Covid-related deaths since January 30, when India reported its first case of COVID-19.
