India launched a violent attack on Pakistan on Sunday for accusing it of being involved in some of the terrorist strikes there and said the so-called “evidence” claims were figments of the imagination.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Srivastava said Pakistan’s “desperate attempt” will find few takers as the international community is aware of its tactics, and proof of Islamabad’s terrorist sponsorship has not been found. admitted only by its “own leaders”.
India’s angry reaction came a day after Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi gave a press conference alongside Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar for claim that India was behind some of the terrorist attacks in that country.
“This is another futile anti-India propaganda exercise. The alleged ‘evidence’ claims against India lack any credibility, are fabricated and are a figment of the imagination,” Mr. Srivastava in response to questions from the media about the allegations.
He described the press conference as a deliberate attempt by the Pakistani establishment to distract from its internal political and economic failures and to justify cross-border terrorism, including ceasefire violations and l infiltration at the line of control in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The face of global terror, Osama bin Laden, was discovered in Pakistan, the Pakistani Prime Minister glorified him as a ‘martyr’ of Parliament, he admitted the presence of 40,000 terrorists in Pakistan. Their Minister of Science and Technology proudly claimed its involvement and success of Pakistan, led by its Prime Minister, in the terrorist attack on Pulwama in which 40 Indian soldiers were martyred, ”Srivastava said.
Remote areas of the world have seen traces of terror return to Pakistan, he said, adding that the forging of documents and the peddling of false stories will not absolve Pakistan from such actions. “We are convinced that the world will take this into account,” he said.
