Delhi, with more than 38,000 cases and more than 1,200 deaths, is the third worst state affected by a coronavirus

New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted a call for volunteer doctors to give free phone consultations to residents of the nation’s capital as it grapples with one of the country’s worst coronavirus epidemics . His video comes amid claims that Delhi’s health infrastructure is collapsing due to the massive growth of coronavirus cases.

“I call on all doctors to volunteer for the Delhi government’s Corona telemedicine helpline. Call now 08047192219 to register. The people of Delhi need your support at this difficult time,” said he tweeted.

In his appeal, Kejriwal said that people from all walks of life will need to come together to fight the pandemic.

“The coronavirus has spread all over the world. It is also spreading rapidly in our country. It is also spreading in Delhi. In human history, we have not faced a more serious crisis. .. it is such a big problem that we will have to come together to fight it, “he said.

“The way the government is helping people get treatment, the doctors in society have also come together to help people. These doctors received advice, consultations by telephone. If you are a doctor and would like to give free medical advice to join us on this number, “he added.

Delhi, with more than 38,000 cases and more than 1,200 deaths, is the third worst coronavirus affected state in the country. According to social media, COVID-19 patients have been refused, citing the unavailability of beds.

Last month, Kejriwal announced that Delhi’s COVID-19 beds would be reserved for residents only. His decision was, however, overturned by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.

Coronavirus patients are treated “worse than animals,” the Supreme Court said on Friday as it called the Delhi government’s attention to the “horrible, horrible and pathetic” situation in the nation’s capital. The situation is also “grim” in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, said the district court.
