The Commission published the opinion on the complaint of Ajay Maken, former chairman of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, and said: “He has not made mere allegations, he has instead made seemingly sincere efforts to provide data in support of their complaint, which, if true, raises a serious problem of the inappropriate approach of government agencies to the plight of the general public, which is a serious problem. violation of human rights. “

“Apparently, there has been a considerable delay in the conduct of the last rites of the deceased during the pandemic period; tests on the bodies of the symptomatic deceased are also not carried out in violation of the standards of WHO and the ICMR which can be extremely dangerous, “said NHRC. in his opinion.

The NHRC has asked the Delhi government and the Union’s Department of Health to examine the matter in consultation with each other to ensure a full report within ten days.

Between -time, the Delhi NCT government should increase the number of beds and tests per day for COVID-19 patients, “he added.

In its opinion, the CNDH declared that the national capital is one of the most affected cities so far.

“It is not wrong to say that the number of COVID-19 patients in the country is increasing day by day and that the recovery rate is more than 48% but it is also true that a large number of people have died and the National the capital is one of the most affected cities to date, “he said.
