Prime Minister Modi today addressed greetings to the nation on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to “Guru Purnima” today, saying it is the day to honor the “gurus” who give meaning to our lives. “Many wishes to Guru Purnima. Today is a special day to honor the gurus who make life meaningful,” the Prime Minister said in a tweet.

He paid tribute to all the gurus on the occasion.

Interior Minister Amit Shah also greeted the nation on the occasion of Guru Purnima. “Guru’s place in Indian culture is highly revered. Guru is a bridge that combines knowledge and disciple. A Guru, with his nectar of knowledge, provides good direction and common sense in the life of a disciple by cultivating precious qualities like religion and character. “

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar and BJP chief Uma Bharti also expressed their wishes on Twitter on this occasion.

Guru Purnima in India has always been very special for guru-shishya parampara or the unique relationship between teachers and their students. Guru Purnima this year is July 5th. He is also knowned as Vyasa Purnima after Veda Vyasa, who wrote the epic Mahabharata. On Guru Purnima, students pay tribute and remember their teachers.

It is a full moon day of the month of Ashadh, the third month of the Hindu calendar. Guru Purnima also marks the start of Chaturmas or the four auspicious months dotted with festivals across the country.
