Pennsylvania:
Amid the vote count in the U.S. presidential election, police made an arrest in Philadelphia for an alleged plot to attack the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Thursday evening (local time), where the votes are still being counted.
According to the New York Post, the arrest was made following reports of a group of people from Virginia on their way to the convention center. Police seized a weapon from the vehicle in which the accused was in.
The arrest came at a time when the counting of the mail-in ballots is underway inside the convention center in Battlefield State amid the biting match between incumbent Donald Trump and the Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
Currently, Trump leads the state by a slim margin with over 90% of total votes.
Pennsylvania is among the battlefield states where Biden and Trump are in a close struggle to reach the 270 electoral vote mark.
According to CNN, Biden leads the presidential race with 253 electoral votes while Trump lags behind with 213 with a count in key states still ongoing.
