New Delhi:

It was on this day two years ago that Dil Bechara went on the floors. The film’s director Mukesh Chhabra, who made his Bollywood debut, shared an emotional note on his Twitter account on Thursday. The film remains the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s first film and stars Sanjana Sanghi. “On July 9, we end today exactly 2 years after the start of filming in Jamshedpur. Sab badal gaya (everything has changed), “he wrote. Earlier, in a post, Mukesh Chhabra said he never imagined that she would release Dil Bechara without the main actor of the movie Sushant Singh Rajput.

Dil Bechara inspired by John Green’s book The fault in our stars, which was also adapted from a Hollywood film of the same name, starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort in the lead roles. The film was directed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who made his debut as a director with the film. The film presents Saif Ali Khan in a cameo appearance and AR Rahman composed the music for the film. The title track for the film should be released tomorrow.

In one of his previous posts, Mr. Chhabra revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput once promised him that he would appear in the film that would mark Mukesh Chhabra’s directorial debut and he did. “Sushant was not only the hero of my first film as a director, but he was a dear friend who supported me throughout the thickness. We had been close to the right of Kai Po Che! (Sushant’s first film) at Dil Bechara. He promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans have been made together, so many dreams have been dreamed together but I never imagined that I would release this film without him, “wrote Mukesh Chhabra.

Mukesh Chhabra was one of the few members of the film fraternity to attend the actor’s funeral in Mumbai, with Sushant’s Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon, sound Chhichhore co-stars Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma, and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi. The casting director, in his praise for Sushant, had described the Kedarnath actor like his “brother”. He shared this note:

Dil Bechara should be released on July 24 on Disney + Hotstar and will be available for subscribers as well as non-subscribers of the OTT platform.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide, police said. He became a star after participating in the popular Balaji Telefilms show Pavitra Rishta. His impressive filmography included successes as well as critically acclaimed films like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Chhichhore and Sonchiriya among others.
